8/6 – 8/10: Hi everybody! So there was a time when I was younger and would get so excited when something came in the mail for me…a happy birthday card or a letter from an old friend. Now as an adult, like everyone else, I dread checking my mailbox knowing the pile of bills that await me. That’s why subscribing to favorite magazines is important…it make your mailbox trip a little less painful. And what better magazine to get in the mail than my monthly Vogue! It puts a huge smile on my face 🙂 So I decided that one of my weekly posts will revolve around that month’s issue of Vogue, and I will feature my favorite photos/articles. And along with that, this week I wanted to feature one of my favorite cupcake cookbooks!
And on a separate note, something pretty cool happened to me that I wanted to share…so keep reading to find out! 😀
I love this ad for Ralph Lauren, and it’s the first one in this month’s issue. There’s something very luxurious about gold and his outfit is just perfection!
Model Joan Smalls looks effortlessly beautiful in this photo by Norman Jean Roy. She’s wearing a Peter Pilotto dress and I love it!
Marion Cotillard was featured in this month’s issue for her role in The Dark Knight (which was AMAZING, so if you haven’t seen it yet, GO NOW!). She looks stunning in this Alexander McQueen dress.
This month, there is an article called “What to Wear Where” and it features The Go Bag. I love these photos, showing what bag to carry for what event/occasion. Model Karlie Kloss is holding a Tod’s leather clutch.
One of my favorite sections of Vogue is their Last Look page at the end of each magazine. To me, it’s like a surprise, and I always wander what the Last Look is this month! I love this sporty Coach bag ($698)…who doesn’t love a good Coach bag!
This was one of my first cupcake cookbooks called “10,000 Cupcakes”. It’s a simple book with easy recipes, but what I love about it is that the book’s pages are cut up into 3 parts…cake, icing, and toppings. So you can create so many combinations and have each component show up on the same page. It’s great for beginner cupcake bakers!
***So as I mentioned in the beginning of this post, something pretty cool happened to me. Last month, my cousin are I were walking around Philadelphia, and we got asked to be dancers in a music video. Of course I said yes as I’m always up for anything, so we went to the Love Park where they were shooting the video. This music video called “What You Want” is for an amazing pop group called Noble Fox! I’m in it for a second, and wanted to share it with you all. Click Here to watch their video!!!! I have high hopes for these guys 🙂
Till next week, XOZ!
