Hi lovely readers
It’s no secret that I LOVE decorating – for every holiday, occasion, basically anything all year round. To me, decorating can transform a house into a home. But for some people, the thought of it can be intimidating for several reasons. Sometimes it’s a space size issue, or budget, or simply not knowing how! That’s why I’m sharing my tips for not only decorating for Fall but more specifically decorating a small space.
Work with your current colors
Fall is shades of orange and browns, but you don’t have to stick to those colors specifically. My apartment’s living area is mainly pink, gold, and white, so I found white pumpkins and a pink fall pillow to compliment the existing decor. My bar kitchen is mainly brown and red, so that’s where I put orange pumpkins. And my bar cart contains gold and copper tones, so I put artificial fall leaves there.
Your space is perfect
The size of your room or house is not important at all, it’s what you do with that space and how you maximize it. I live in a studio apartment and still decorate the crap out of it. Think individual spaces! I have my work space, bedroom, living room, and kitchen “spaces” even though it’s all one giant space. So show each space some love and decorate it.
There’s absolutely no need to spend crazy on decoration, especially since they can easily get ruined, broken, or you simply get tired of them after a year or two. Opt for affordable places that still offer a terrific selection – some of my favorites are Target, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and Amazon.
Even a little is a lot
If you’re not big into decorating or like minimalist interiors, but still want to get festive, no problem! Adding a simple few Fall pieces can have a huge impact. Here are some of my suggestions for what to get:- pumpkin scented candle- fall pillow- fall wreath- one large pumpkin decor- fall mug for kitchen.
I hope these tips help you make your space Fall-tastic!
