Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and it’s time to find that special outfit! But don’t just settle for the typical red or pink dress. I myself am thinking outside the box this year, so I’m sharing with you 6 styling ideas that put a refreshing twist to your Valentine’s Day outfit while still being festive and fashionable.
#1: Wear white, black, or purple
This year, ditch the pink or red dress and wear white, black or a great lavender shade. I’m wearing this beautiful floral white dress from boohoo. I’m pairing my dress with these faux fur shoes. For a “love” touch, I’m wearing a gold heart necklace like this one. Or go with your LBD, little black dress! Just add pink or red shoes and accessories. Shop one of my favorite black lace dresses here. For a dress with more color, I recommend this lavender velvet dress from Asos.
#2: Swap the dress for a skirt
Go for a black leather skirt with fringe like this one for a fun, flirty look. Or go with a sequin blush colored skirt like this one. Wear either skirt with a blush tone ruffle bodysuit like this one.
#3: Incorporate red or pink into a casual look
If this year you have casual plans to stay in, or just prefer to not wear a dress or skirt, try incorporating red or pink into your casual outfit. Try a cute wine red top like this one which you can wear with jeans. Or go with a white lace crochet top like this one and pair it with crushed velvet pants like these.
#4: Get festive with shoes and accessories
Don’t forget about using shoes, jewelry, and a bag to add a touch of Valentine’s Day. Click here for some great bag options. Wearing red or pink shoes is also a great way to be festive. Shop my top picks here!
